RésuméLe 14 juillet 2008, plus de 60 musiciens et chanteurs ont célébré les 75 ans du grand compositeur, arrangeur et producteur Quincy Jones à l'Auditorium Stravinsky lors du Festival de Jazz de Montreux. Durant cet hommage musical de 5 heures (dont 2h30 captées pour le DVD) de multiples artistes ont puisé dans le répertoire exceptionnel de Quincy Jones pour une soirée inoubliable, parmi lesquels Herbie Hancock, Chaka Khan, Toots Thielemans, Patti Austin, Angélique Kidjo, James Moody, Rahsaan Patterson, Al Jarreau ou Naturally 7. Le Swiss Army Big Band, sous la direction de Pepe Lienhard, a brillé par sa magnifique performance. A l'image du festival, ce condensé d'histoire fut riche en émotions et en rencontres (1h30 + 1h07).
